What I Made This Week:

From the transcript: “And now, I’d like to tell you about something I made this week. This past weekend, after Chuck and Diane left to drive home, we got some snow here by our house and that morning we went outside to make snowmen and snow angels. The snowmen didn’t go so well. It wasn’t quite the right snow for that. But we did manage to get in the snow for some snow angels. And we made some big piles of snow at the base of some of our slides in the backyard and she had a great time sliding down into them. It was really wonderful watching her experience the snow for one of the first times. We’ve had a lot of snow storms since she was born, but not all of them have created snow that she could really get out and play in. So standing out there and watching her explore the snow the way I remember doing when I was little was really special.” Continue reading “How to Make a Legacy”

What I Made This Week:

From the transcript: “And now, I’d like to tell you about something I made this week. Well, am making. I’m currently working on creating a real website for the podcast. Right now, my good friend Greg Thole is helping me by hosting the podcast and has built me a really nice website for the streaming of the podcast itself. However, it’s kind of limited in what kind of content I can share on it beyond just the podcast itself and some brief descriptions. So I wanted to put together something a little bit more comprehensive that would allow me to create show notes with really beautiful images and share more information on a regular basis about the things that I’m making and the things that are being made by people who I feature on the show. I also want to be able to provide transcripts of each episode for those who want to experience the podcast but can’t listen to it in an audio form. So I’ve been working really hard on transcribing past episodes and getting together a plan for creating content on a regular basis. I’m very lucky in that I have a lot of champions. People who are happily helping me on this journey. This is not something that comes naturally to me and so I’m learning a lot as I go. And I want to thank every single person who has helped me as I’ve worked to get this off the ground. Specifically a past guest on the show, Arianna, who does social media for a living and very graciously sat down and talked to me for about an hour about how to approach social media from a professional standpoint. I found that conversation to be really invaluable. So hopefully that’ll be up in the next few weeks and I’ll share lots of information with you in a future episode about how you can find that” Continue reading “How to Make Makers”
